Grilli has a dream. The biggest dream of them all. He wants to fill the country’s stadiums with the sound of his acoustic guitar and send crowds of people into a frenzy. But Grilli has a huge problem. He’s now in his mid-thirties and hasn’t achieved anything in his life yet. Instead, he drifts through Bremen’s pubs, entertaining a handful of drunks. It’s high time something finally changed. After all, he’s been working towards his dream since he was twelve.
The problem lies in his birthplace, Bremen-Blumenthal. This behemoth of mediocrity sucks all the colour out of its residents. The most interesting thing that can happen to you here is moving away. That’s why Grilli has never been rock ’n’ roll.
But Grilli isn’t giving up! And so, armed with his acoustic guitar and songs about Bud Spencer’s beard, suicide in space and riding a moped, he’s fighting for the women, the rent and, above all, just to be heard.
