Andreas Köhler has been nominated for the 2026 German Camera Award for his outstanding work on the ARD series ‘Schwarzes Gold‘ (Black Gold). He has been nominated in the category of Fiction Screen for his cinematography in episode 3, 'Abgrund' (Abyss), of the series – a great recognition for the team and especially for Andreas' impressive visual achievements in this historical project.

‘Schwarzes Gold’ (Black Gold) is a six-part historical series about the oil boom in the Lüneburg Heath around 1900, produced by Kinescope Film in co-production with NDR.

The German Camera Award is one of the most prestigious awards for cinematography and editing in the German-speaking world. The award ceremony will take place on 8 May 2026 in Cologne.
